Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork sliders

Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork

This is a favorite recipe of mine for any potluck, BBQ or game time party. It's very easy to make (hurray for crockpots!) and if you serve it with sliders also looks super festive.

  • 3-4 lbs pork shoulder roast
  • 1 bottle Kinder's BBQ sauce (or any other barbecue sauce you love)
  • 1 tbsp oil (I used canola)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Worcester sauce (or soy sauce)
This is a very easy recipe. All you need besides the ingredients, is a slow cooker or a crockpot.

Poor the oil in the crockpot. Cut the fat off the pork roast. Add the pork to the crockpot. Wet the roast with the broth, BBQ sauce, Worcester sauce and the apple cider vinegar. After that rub the roast with the dark brown sugar and the chili powder.
Set the crockpot to high and slow cook for 6 hours. When done pull the pork apart with two forks.

Serve on Hawaiian rolls, with whatever toppings you prefer. You could use lettuce, slaw, pickles. I like to use sweet and sour cucumber and a sweet chili sauce. For the cucumber I cut thin slices add some vinegar and sugar and let it stand for a while so the flavors absorb into the slices.
